For a short period of time you'll see the most exciting views of Saint - Petersburg. Let's talk about some places visited during the excursion:
Neva embankment - you will see the most famous ensembles of XVIII - XIX. The main squares of the Northern Capital overlook the River Neva. There're eight drawbridges over the Neva, each of them is a sophisticated and often unique engineering constructure.
Peter and Paul Fortress is situated on the Hare Island sailing over the Neva like a dreamworld boat. This small island was chosen by Peter I as a construction site for the citadel. The fortress has a fantastic history...
Admiralty - another landmark of the city - was founded in 1703 as a fortress and shipyard.
Vasilyevsky Island as "the capital" of Russian Empire. Strange as it is but this island was thought to be the center of the future capital of Russia.
Palace of Prince Menshikov - the closest associate of Peter the Great, eminent statesman, military figure and the first governor general of the city - was the most luxurious building at the time.

Winter Palace - grandiose edifice in the style of Russian Baroque - the incarnation of the power of Russian Empire and its almighty sovereign, now containing one of the richest collection of paintings in the world.
Summer Garden is famous for its sculptures and a splendid railing. As the legend goes, at the beginning of XIX an English yacht dropped anchor by the Summer Garden. The owner of the vessel, a lord and a patron of the arts, admired the grille of the garden and then, without even going ashore, returned to England. When asked the reason for this action he replied that the goal of his journey has been achieved, that this sight was unsurpassed in splendour.
St. Isaac's Square - one of the grandiose architectonic ensemble of Russia - is dominated by the huge St. Isaac's Cathedral with its fine colonnades and golden dome which can be seen dozens kilometres from St. Petersburg.
The excursion won't be a boring citation of what has been done in St. Petersburg in the last 300 years. This way it would be too long. It's a kind of "introduction into St. Petersburg" - one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
